Summer is right around the corner and for many people that means vacations, day trips and just plain fun in the sun. That all sounds great, but whatever shall you wear? I don't know about you, but I like to be comfortable and ready for anything when I'm taking it easy.
I think middle school me had the right idea on how to dress while vacationing in exotic locations like Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone National Park and Jackson Hole. This is pretty much an exact replica of my summer vacation style from the early '90s. Summer tourist, but make it fashion.
I'm literally ready to see all the sights. I've got on comfortable walking shoes and a convenient fanny for all my necessities (sunblock, lip balm, phone, cash). The t-shirt and shorts scream tourist and I love it. Think of tourism as a sport with mandatory attire — this would be it.
Let's talk about these perfect lavender-pink shorts for a minute. They are so fun and chic. I styled them very retro for this shoot, but they could go in so many other directions. I'm dying to pair them with something red. Lavender is on track to become the color of the season, so be on the lookout!
