Plus Size Fall Dress Trends

I'm a sucker for a good dress pretty much year round — but there's just something extra special about fall dresses. Bold prints, longer lengths, fun textures and the bonus of getting to wear them with boots, jackets and cardigans! Here's a few of the early fall dress trends that have me excited for the season.

Animal Prints

I gasped when I saw this mesh tiger print dress on the Target app. Something is going on in the Target plus size world — and it's amazing. I have been blown away the last few months by the fashion forward and highly affordable pieces lines like Wild Fable and Who What Wear have been churning out for Target. Most of these pieces are in the $20-$30 range. It's amazing.

This dress is so soft and comfortable. It comes with a slip to keep it from being too sheer. I don't think it's possible not to feel beautiful and powerful in this dress. I'm noticing lots of mock necklines popping up for fall and there's something very chic about them. I can't tell you when these animal print and '90s trends will fully exhaust themselves — but we're not there yet kids.

Shapeless dresses

My newest obsession is shapeless dresses. Just give me a sack with sleeves! This over-sized midi smock dress is so unique. I love the billowy tie sleeves, mock neck, textured cotton, front pockets and contrast stitching! This is not a basic black dress. It almost gives the look of black denim, but it's so much more comfortable.

This dress looks great with boots and sneakers. I finally found a pair of low heel, wide width snakeskin booties. And I'll be wearing them with everything!

Tiered Dresses

Tiered dresses are another hot item for fall. And once again — this is a Target dress. Seriously, they are killing it. This tiered tent dress has definite early '80s vibes. I'm pretty sure my mom wore dresses very similar to this when I was a kid. And I definitely recall her wearing them with chunky nude platform sandals and macrame bags.

These square sunglasses are all I ever want to wear. They look amazing with fall fashion. They also look a lot more expensive than they are. Check my outfit links below if you see something you love!
