I hate to say it, but the end of summer is in sight. The days are getting shorter and cooler and school will be starting up in just a few weeks. Fall is all about transitions and I plan to ride as many of my summer pieces into the next few months as I can.
Guys, I think this past summer might have been one of my favorite ever? I didn't go on any vacations, but what I did do was give myself permission to be fat and happy while wearing summer clothes. Swim suits, shorts, sleeveless dresses — you name it, I wore it. It was like a vacation from worrying what others would think or say if I wore things that showed off my body. Spoiler alert, I'm going to be making it a permanent vacation.
This look consists of my all time favorite pair of jeans, a basic black tank top and a wrap dress worn as a long duster. I love versatile pieces — they expand your wardrobe in infinite ways. Believe it or not, I'm trying to have fewer clothes in my closet. I'll always keep pieces like these that can be worn in so many ways.
Some fall trends I'm looking forward to are the colors purple and gold, long coat hems, statement shoulders and satiny finishes. Unraveling this wrap dress and throwing on some gold flats checked all those boxes. Oh, and you know I'm not done with my animal prints yet.
