Winter Whoas

I don't know about you, but I pretty much start getting sick of winter as soon as Christmas is over. It's a long haul from January to spring, and I am not willing to spend it being bored with my wardrobe. Here's what I do when I'm feeling blah...

Yepp, I'm back on my leopard print shenanigans. What can I say? It's my second skin at this point. I could not hit add to cart fast enough when I spotted this green leopard print '80s vibe wrap dress on ASOS. I love a good wrap dress, and the slightly poofed sleeves are such a cool detail.

The green color is so lush and the plisse fabric creates a lovely texture and flow. January is the time to be on the lookout for dresses that can transition into spring. I wore a pair of lace tights and boots because it's chilly out, but will definitely be wearing this dress alone when the temps start to rise.

Something I like to do when I'm feeling bored with my wardrobe is experiment with different textures, patterns and prints in one ensemble. This look incorporates two different colors and sizes of leopard print, a busy lace tight, faux fur, and plisse pleats. It's anything but boring.

The great thing about winter is that the cold temps allow you to play with layers and textures, and really that's my best tip on how to turn winter wardrobe woes into winter whoas.

I try not to play favorites with colors, because I love them all, but I do think emerald green is my power color. I could never feel blah in a green dress with a red lip.
