Welcome to the jungle

Just when I think I might someday run out of local spots for blog shoots I remember downtown Lincoln. I haven't even scratched the surface of the interesting cityscapes that it has to offer.

Downtown Lincoln has lots of old buildings and parking garages. I've noticed that this particular parking garage draws local photographers trying to capture senior pictures and engagement photos. I've also noticed that it's probably going to be sold and tore down soon.

I like the juxtaposition of grit and grandeur that downtown's offer. These great old windows next to the chipped cinder block walls is so good. Add a leopard print faux wrap dress and the whole thing is very downtown chic.

This dress is from the Joe Fresh plus line. I purchased it last fall when the brand first launched plus sizes. Joe Fresh reminds me of a cross between Old Navy and H&M. They have a lot of cute, affordable basics and every once in a while something a bit more elevated. I snapped this dress up as soon as I saw it. It's phenomenal. I wear it year round. I push the sleeves up and wear it with bare legs in the spring/summer and add tights in the fall/winter.

Honestly, my best fashion advice is probably to buy anything you love in leopard print as soon as you see it to avoid serious FOMO. Brands should know that leopard print equals take my money. And just a friendly reminder, leopard print is a neutral and goes with everything. I could have added any color of heels to this outfit and it would have looked perfect.

Leopard print will never go out of style. It's akin to polka dots and stripes. They aren't going anywhere. So think of these purchases as an investment. Not convinced yet? Think of cats themselves (one of my favorite pass times TBH), they are the epitome of style and grace. They can class up any joint.
