Seasons Change

The hot days are becoming fewer and far between. I'm into it. Have you seen all the leopard print and camo that brands are pushing out for fall?? I'll be featuring more on that in the coming weeks. This blog post is all about that transitional period between summer and fall. Don't pack away your summer dresses just yet--they've still got some life in them.

This dress got me through some of the hottest days of summer. It is so comfy, cool and really cute. The fun cactus print was perfect for summer. I knew I wouldn't want to pack this dress away immediately when fall came knocking. I love it with a jean jacket and think it will also look great with black tights, boots, a cardigan and scarf.

I took advantage of the beautiful weather we've been having and visited Sunken Gardens. If you are local to Lincoln, Nebraska you know all about Sunken Gardens. It's a beautiful space that is always impeccably manicured and populated with glorious plant life and water features. It is centrally located in the heart of the city and a very popular destination for locals and visitors who are looking to get a dose of beauty. Another bonus? Everyone there is taking pictures. So no need to feel awkward about striking a post.

This was the perfect outfit to wander through the winding garden paths in. My top tips for a seamless transition into fall include lots of dresses, jackets and other light layering pieces. There is nothing worse than jumping the gun and dressing too warm for the shifting weather. Make sure you give yourself the option to revert back to summer wear if needed.

I've got some exciting blogs planned for the coming months, so make sure to subscribe for updates and follow me on Instagram and Facebook!
