Blush & Rust

Guys, I'm having a moment with textured coats. Why shouldn't we wrap ourselves in fluffy, fuzzy warmth when it's cold and grey outside? These coats go with everything and always make a statement.

This dreamy pink baby is from the Wild Fable line at Target. It's softer than you can imagine. It looks smashing with a dress and I can just imagine how awesome it will look with a sweater and distressed jeans. I really like the length of the coat. It hits me right at the knee. This same coat is also available in a light blue color.

It was 27 degrees and lightly snowing when I did this shoot. I don't look cold at all, right? It's 100% an act. I was freezing. I'm just starting to realize what winter blog shoots are going to be like, but I'm willing to suffer for fashion. Also, black tights + white boots = just do it. White boots are having a winter moment. We won't be able to get away with this forever, but I'm loving the trend while it's here.

I paired the coat with this fun and flouncy rust colored mini leopard print smock dress from ASOS. Whew...that was a lot of exciting adjectives. I felt like Pebbles Flintstone in a pink woolly mammoth pelt. What a vibe! I'm really loving the blush/rust color combo.

Target has been my go-to this year for affordable statement coats. Most of them come in under $50. That sounds a whole lot like 2 coats for the price of 1 to me...
